In 1996 I joined Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders as lead guitarist with vocal harmony. Doing the usual Butlins 60s festivals before working on The Solid Silver 60s tour in 1997.

Highlights last year included concerts for Ferrari, Portugal and Thomson Gold Hotels. I also shared a couple of stages with Coronation Streets' Richard Fleeshman and Kym Marsh

I have shared stages with probably all the 60s name bands left on tours and festivals. The biggest gig was Clumba Park in the summer of 1999 to some 15000 people for the National Trust. We went on at midnight. Seeing all the lighters in the distance when we played Groovy Kind of Love was not to be missed.

In 1997 I played for Peter Noone (Herman from Hermans Hermits) doing 78 gigs. Not having a set list to rehearse, I learned the whole back catalogue including harmonies just in case! On the same tour I played for Dave Berry (The Crying Game). Gerry and The Pacemakers were also on the bill. Later I "depped" for Hermans Hermits in the UK courtesy of Barry Whitwam.

The photo right is taken from a charity gig with The Hollies' former bass player Bernie Calvert Bullseye's Jim Bowen who I worked alongside on the QE2 also featured on the bill.
