In 1997, with Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders I was asked to play Flying Music's (promoters) annual Solid Silver 60's Show. This 78 date tour took in Birmingham Symphony Hall, The London Palladium, Liverpool Philharmonic, Caird Hall Dundee and just about every major theatre in the UK. The tour spanned from Scotland right down to the Channel Islands. Along with Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders, Peter Noone headlined, Gerry and The Pacemakers and Dave Berry also billed. I played for Wayne Fontana, Dave Berry and Peter Noone. I estimate some 234000 people saw the show.

Aboard the Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth II we played two shows once a week in The Grand Lounge and one rock and roll set in The Queens Room. With several bars, all the free parties, a passenger ticket and access to the casino, it was not exactly hard work. We were described as the most successful act in the history of the ship. Testing times for the liver and happy days!
